2010 – Pangeanic renames PangeMatic as PangeaMT, which is now our MT system for internal use as well as our new customized MT technology division. Pangeanic hires new BDM, with a particular focus on business consolidation for PangeaMT. TMX & XLIFF i/o filters as well as the inline mark-up code parser become PangeaMT´s most distinctive development features. Pangeanic management team delivers presentations in major industry events (TAUS, Localization World, etc.). Pangeanic consolidates both as a global LSP and an MT tailor-made solution and consultancy company, with key industry players as clients for both business streams.

2009 – PangeMatic (Pangeanic’s own machine-translation engine) begins operation. A TMX MT workflow is established initially in Spanish, followed by French, Italian and German.

2008 - After three-year long discussions among corporations, language vendors and institutions, Pangeanic commits to Data-Sharing Platform in a multinational effort to share translation databases among some of the most important corporations. Pangeanic wins a Vice.-Presidentship in FEGILT, the Spanish Federation of Translation Companies. Pangeanic begins a two-year long-term project to develop its own customised Moses-based statistical machine translation engine catering for the needs of the professional and consumer electronics, automotive, software and engineering industries.

2007 - New corporate ID. B.I Europa becomes Pangeanic. The group receives its 4th Sony Award in the Assessment of Manual-Making Companies.

2006 - B.I Europa doubles staff and turnover. ISO9001 and EN15038 implementation begin. B.I Europa joins TAUS, ACT (Spanish Association of Translation Companies) and Gala. Long-term drive for translation automation becomes company policy.

2005 - Implementation of SDLX as a CAT tool for higher QA reliability. B.I Europa chosen as language vendor by Sony Europe.

2004 - Implementation of new internal ISO-compliant job tracking and financial software.

2002 - B.I Europa chosen as Aiwa Marketing of Europe’s preferred language vendor. Automatization of Middle East publication works using Trados+ InDesign.

2001 - Beginning of autoDTP services (Trados + FrameMaker, Quark, PageMaker, and later on InDesign).

2000 - HQ relocation to Spain as B.I Europa Documentación y Traducción SL. Implementation of Trados as company-wide strategy to recycle text and make use of computer-assisted translation tools.

1999 - B.I Europe is chosen as prefered, single vendor by Pioneer Media Creates for the supply of consumer and specialist electronics user manuals.

1996 - B.I Europe is established in Manchester in 1996, initially as a subsidiary of B.I Corporation Japan (founded 1982), servicing the automotive, tool-machine industries as well as engineering firms and electronics in the UK.
