    I agree with all you say except with hiring a Translation Company (or Translation Agency if it does not have in-house translators) instead of a Freelance Translator. With the difference between the fee the Agency charges and the fee it pays the translator the digital publisher should be able to hire a better qualified translator, and probably with a small saving. The only advantages of hiring an agency are volume translations in short notice and many languages from only one source, but short notice requires many translators with different styles, who don’t know how the other translators have addressed translation problems and the solutions found, who bring communication problems (because the agencies don’t let the client communicate directly with the translator), and although an agency might try to harmonize all the issues it’ll never be the same as working with a unique freelance translator. Many translators, who have been years in business, don’t need an agency to guarantee our quality; our experience, our certificates, our references and recommendations, our reputation, our published work are suficient guarantee that we can, and will, deliver a quality translation if it belongs to our field of expertise.
